- Brent will be interacting with the public as Henry David Thoreau at Walden Pond on several occasions throughout the year. Anticipated dates (subject to change) include New Years Day, July 12 (Henry's birthday), and a melon party in September. - Brent will be performing for the public as Henry D. Thoreau in an informal staging of scenes from J. Lawrence and R.E. Lee's 1969 play "The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail" on January 19, 2026, at the Visitor Center at Walden Pond State Reservation. The performance will be from noon to 12:30, and will be followed by other MLK Day programming.
